 | WINDOWS XP and COMPATABILITY MODE UPDATE |
 USING THE r1 RESOLUTION MODE WITH WINDOWS XP IN THE COMPATABILITY MODE
We have received several reports of r1 resolution failure even after following installation instructions. Most systems are unaffected but if this failure occurs on your system YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETREIVE ANY PHOTOS (the program will lock up or abort) until the JamCam photos present are cleared and new photos are taken only in the r2 resolution mode. This failure appears to be due to the many Windows patches affecting XP operation. If at all possible, use only the r2 resolution setting to take photos. r2 resolution photos will download with no problem but DO NOT mix any r1 resolution photos with the r2 resolution photos or a download failure will occur.
If the above has happened to you and you really must retreive the r1 resolutions in the JamCam the only way to do this is to install the JamCam program and drivers on a system using Windows 98/ME and to download the photos on that computer.
