| You need to load another driver. If you go to the MOST COMMON JAMCAM QUERIES and look at the posting PROGRAM ABORTS TO MENU PAGE WHEN DOWNLOADING PHOTOS you will find the explaination and solution to the problem. Go to the WHAT DOWNLOADS ARE REQUIRED FOR MY CAMERA/SYSTEM CONFIGURATION forum and click on the XP/3.0 posting for the proper downloads and set-up instructions. |

Follow the instructions as given in the XP/3.0 posting from WHICH DOWNLOADS.... You've already done what needs to be done to get r2 pictures. To get r1 pictures also just Along with the downloads just install the 95/98/ME driver. You don't need to remove or reinstall anything you've done and nothing will be affected by installing the new driver. Run the driver, reboot and, at the Main Menu page, click START->HELP AND SUPPORT. In the SEARCH box at the top left of the page type COMPATABILITY and follow the instructions. This WILL allow you to get r1 and r2 pictures - even if it doesn't it won't affect the camera's ability to take r2 pictures.
You should get anywhere from 90-110 pictures on a 64mb card depending on manufacturer. |

| When you get the 'not connected' message it means the driver has been installed but not updated. You are only halfway done - update it through your Device Manager (download the Driver USB Updating Instructions from Downloads->Manuals. |
